The entrance path to this property in Llanddewi Velfrey, near Narberth, had become difficult to walk along. Weeds had taken hold in the slate, fed by needles and debris dropping from a conifer over the path. Some of the slate had already started to crack under the pressure of roots forcing their way through. The customers are in their later years and no longer able to keep on top of garden work themselves. They had been relying on family to come and clear when they could, but family aren't always able to spare the time. They decided that a regular gardener on a reliable schedule was a far more sensible arrangement.
We cleared all the weeds from the path, scraped up the compacted mulch that had built up over and between the slate slabs, and removed the debris that had been feeding the problem. It took under two hours. What had been an uninviting entrance to the property is now a path that guests can walk up without any trouble, and one the customer can feel proud of when someone comes to the door.
What we did
- Cleared weeds growing up through all the joints and cracks in the slate path
- Scraped and removed compacted mulch built up over and between the slate slabs
- Cleared fallen conifer needles and debris from the path surface that were feeding weed growth
- Bagged and removed all material from site
