This customer was getting a family home in Haverfordwest ready to sell, and the garden had been left to grow for years. It's a fairly large garden, and grass, brambles and shrubs had taken over the paths, the pond and the area around the greenhouse. That's a lot to take on alongside everything else involved in selling a house.
We spent the day clearing the lot. We cut back the overgrowth, dug out the brambles and their roots, opened the path down the garden back up and uncovered the pond, gravel and paving that had disappeared underneath it all. By the end of the day we'd filled a stack of builder's bags with waste.
It was a huge amount to get through in one day, and the garden now looks cared for again, ready for the house to go on the market.
What we did
- Cut back years of overgrown grass, shrubs and brambles across a fairly large garden
- Cleared the area behind the house back to the gravel and paving
- Opened up the path down the garden and uncovered the pond
- Dug out the brambles and roots that had swamped the greenhouse
- Filled a stack of builder's bags with green waste and roots
- Got the whole garden done in a single day
